Athanasius Nsahlai , b. 1954

Athanasius Nsahlai is a maritime administrator and works as technical advisor with the rank of director at the Port Authority of Douala, Cameroon. Furthermore, Athanasius is a prolific writer with two works to his credit. Out of the Shadows (2004), his first novel underwent extensive revision in 2009. A year after his second novel, The Buffalo Rider (2005), was published. His novels and short stories focus around love and tradition and how this might help and sometimes conflict with modern values and how all this interplay may impact young adults’ perception of life and their role in it.
